Tim Tam Balls

By Courtney Ferrar

What Aussie doesn’t love a Tim Tam? These Tim Tam Balls might just be your new go to sweet treat! A combination of Tim Tams, condensed milk, and desiccated coconut creates the perfect bite sized ball of goodness that is hard to resist.

Makes approx 40-50 balls.

Ingredients:

2 packets of Tim Tam biscuits

1 can (395g) sweetened condensed milk

3/4 cup (about 75g) desiccated coconut (plus extra for rolling, optional)

Method:

1.Crush the Tim Tams

Place both packets of biscuits in a food processor and blitz until fine crumbs form. Or, put them in a large ziplock bag and crush with a rolling pin.

2.Mix with condensed milk and coconut

In a large mixing bowl, combine the biscuit crumbs, condensed milk, and desiccated coconut. Mix until you get a sticky, moldable mixture.

3.Shape the balls

Take roughly a heaped teaspoon worth of mixture and roll into balls about 2–3 cm in diameter.

4.Roll in coconut

Tip some coconut onto a plate, or shallow flat container. Rolls the balls in the coconut to cover them. Place in an airtight contain and store in the fridge for roughly 30mins before serving.

Tips:

***This recipe can easily be make gluten and dairy free if required. Simply substitute the Tim Tams using the Woolworths Free From Gluten Double Choc Biscuits, and substitute the condensed milk with coconut condensed milk***

You can use any flavour of Tim Tam- the ones with gooey filling may require less condensed milk.

If you are not a fan of coconut, try rolling the Tim Tam Balls in sprinkles.
